Greetings, I’m Bill Bechtol, owner of SafariWorks Taxidermy Studio. I feel fortunate to be in a profession that allows me to indulge my passions for hunting and wildlife art. As I pass my 50th year it’s nice to be doing something you truly enjoy. I’ve been lucky enough to have hunted on four African safaris, New Zealand, Argentina as well as all over the U.S. and Canada. I’m a member of the North Carolina and National Taxidermists Associations, SCI, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NRA and other hunting organizations. If you’ve been looking for a taxidermist, you’ve probably noticed that most of them should be in another line of work and the truly talented artists work at large studios with even larger prices. Our goal is to create quality mounts at reasonable prices. Taxidermy is one field that the “old fashion way” isn’t a plus. We use only the best, state-of-the-art materials available and the latest techniques to insure your trophy will last a lifetime. These are the same materials, tanning and techniques used in competition mounts.
Our studio is located on our small farm outside of Morganton, North Carolina. We’re a short drive from anywhere in Burke, Alexander, Caldwell and Catawba counties. We can also arrange to pick up your trophy.
Besides the obvious advantages of working from home, the low overhead also enables us to keep our pricing affordable. We also strive to get you your mount back in a reasonable time, usually within three months of receiving the hide back from the tannery.
We can provide custom mounts and habitats on big game animals from the Arctic to Africa. While our passion is big game and predator mounts, we work with some of the best bird and fish taxidermists in the country and would be happy to assist you with those needs.

Please feel free to call or e-mail with any questions you may have. We can help with getting your trophies shipped home from the hunt, field care or possibly put you in contact with a good outfitter for your next dream hunt. If you would like to visit our trophy room, please call first, remember its hunting season somewhere.
Hope to hear from you soon, Bill |
